I Hope this letter finds you well and that you have had some opportunities to spend time with your families and friends. It has been a busy few months for Hope Lutheran Church. As we approach the retirement of Pastor Jim Andrews on January 8, we really want to focus on Jim and Laura through the remaining time they have with us. Jim has worked so hard for our Church, and we want to honor what he and Laura have done for Hope Lutheran and our Community.
After January 8th, we will start receiving on-call pastors from the Metropolitan Chicago Synod—ELCA, and Pastor Kyle Severson will be working very closely with us to make sure we are taken care of and heading in the right direction.
At the January Church Council Meeting, the Council will begin to lay out a plan forward on behalf of Hope Lutheran Church. To assist us on our journey, Pastor Kyle Severson will be working in concert with the Council and our Congregation to begin identifying an Interim Pastor. After we receive our Interim Pastor, a Congregational Call Committee will be appointed to begin the process of finding the next Pastor of Hope Lutheran Church.
As always, your prayers and continued support are appreciated, as we embark upon this
Journey in Christ's Love.
Nate Schuller, Council President
