Gospel in Life Bible Study - Starting September 16, 2018

Join Timothy Keller, the founder and senior pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City, and the New York Times bestselling author, in an eight-week
video-based study of the gospel and how to live it out in everyday life. In week one our group will study the city, your home now, the world that is. Week eight closes with the theme of the eternal city, your heavenly home, the world that is to come. In between you'll learn how the gospel can change your heart, your community, and how you live in this world. Study guides will be provided.
Please join us for some thought provoking conversation and for some stirring coffee!

The following is our schedule for Bible Study over the month of November:
11/4: Will not meet-Congregation Informational Meeting
11/11: Final chapter of Gospel in Life Study
11/18: Authentic Fellowship-How is the church called to be different from the local social club?
11/25: Make Church a Positive Experience for Kids-How can we help kids to love church?

at Pub 83 in Long Grove at 7:00 p.m.  (Schedule below)

We are getting a group together for conversation and refreshments.
Starting September 26, our meetings will focus on the book “Reclaiming the ‘L’ Word: Renewing the Church from its Lutheran Core” by Kelly A. Fryer.  This short yet thought-provoking book is about renewing congregations by recognizing and living out the core teachings of the Lutheran faith. In the introduction, the author states:
" … this little book is primarily written for those who call themselves Lutheran and, specifically, those who are members of ELCA congregations, and it is intended to help us answer central questions: Who are we? What DOES it mean to be a Lutheran today, anyway? And, why does it matter?"
Join us for study, conversation, refreshments.  Books will be available in the church office or at the pub.  Sign-up in the narthex or let Ann know if you plan to attend.
