Adult Education topics during the Sunday School hour
Sundays 9:45 - 10:45 a.m.

On Sunday, April 28th between our two worship services, officers from the Buffalo Grove P. D. will be offering an Active Shooter Preparedness Class.  The Dept. of Homeland Security alerts us that this type of training is unfortunate, but  necessary, especially in light of worship centers that have been targeted in recent years.  We are fortunate to have this free training available to us and encourage all of our members, families, and friends to attend this one hour session, which could make the difference between beingprepared, or being at total risk.  Knowing how to make a quick and reasonable evaluation can guide us
in making an appropriate response to eliminate or minimize danger.  This is training that can be used
effectively anywhere!

May 5-19 Three One-Week Independent Lessons:

A Resurrection That Matters-Our salvation before God stands on the Cross, yes. But it is also founded on something more.
Overview: Without Jesus' death, there is no access to heaven for sinners and no hope for lasting moral improvement. Author J. R. Daniel Kirk, in "A Resurrection That Matters," was a leader at his InterVarsity group in college and had much of a Cross-centered outlook. Yet one Easter he came to realize that his theology was missing something very important-the Resurrection. Does your gospel have room for the Resurrection? This study will help show you why it should.

Rest for the Weary- Where to go when you’re empty and spent.
Overview: Running on fumes is difficult. We're traveling at a decent pace when all of a sudden we sputter and eventually break down. We were warned it might happen, yet somehow we kept going, hoping we'd still reach our destination. Empty and spent, we brush ourselves off and get up. Where can we go when we're depleted? What do we need at those moments? How will God meet those needs?

Enjoy the Silence-Unplug to experience God's presence.
Overview: We have so much constant noise in our lives that we are often left trying to figure out how to connect with God. But once we discover the importance of slowing down long enough to create real silence and rest before God, we'll discover that we can hear from and experience him in deeper ways than we've ever known.
