Wedding Policies and Procedures

 
Hope Lutheran Church is available for wedding ceremonies, either with our Pastor or with an outside minister performing the ceremony, with our approval.

The Pastor, Organist, and Sound Technician are independent contractors whose charges will be based on your specific requirements. You will need to contact them individually to determine what your total cost will be. Payment should be made directly to each individual.  Outside musicians are welcome.  Payment is your reponsiblity.

Additional Information:
 
  1. There will be NO FOOD or DRINKS in the sanctuary and NO ALCOHOLIC beverages of any kind anywhere in the church.  This is a place of worship. Please be respectful.
  2. There is a total of 22 pews, 11 on each side, seating approximately 275 people.
  3. If you plan an aisle runner, the distance form the point of the bottom step in front of the altar to the door of the Sanctuary is approximately 50 feet.
  4. The placement of your flower arrangements will be discussed with your wedding coordinator.
  5. Two wood candelabras are available, using standard tapered candles, a total of 14.  There is no charge for their use, however the bridal couple must purchase the candles.
  6. If the bridal couple wishes to have bulletins printed up for the ceremony, they must be purchased by the couple and must be given to Church office at least 2 weeks in advance.
  7. Bird seed may be thrown.  However, this must be done outside only.  No rice is allowed.
  8. NO FLASH pictures during the ceremony.  Your photographer must speak with the wedding coordinator concerning picture taking.
  9. The youth room (last room on the right at the end of the hallway) will be set up including a full length mirror for the bride and bridesmaids.
  10. The groom and his attendants can wait in the lower level.
  11. A $250.00 deposit is required to reserve Church.   (In the event of cancellation, the deposit will be refunded only if Hope Lutheran Church is notified of cancellation at least 60 days prior to wedding date.)
